*I was sent the kit complimentary from Influenster and Jane Iredale for review, however all opinions are my own.

I’ve never used mineral makeup because I tend to gravitate towards makeup with medium to full coverage. However, with the summer heat and humidity in full force down here in South Florida, I was eager to try something that would be weightless on my skin. The pressed mineral powder is definitely light on coverage, so if you want medium to full coverage this may not be for you. I put a little bit of Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer for the breakouts and under eyes that the powder would not cover. The one thing I loved about the light weight feeling was wearing it outside in the heat. I loved that it wasn’t melting off my face and it reduced the oily appearance of my skin. I have very oily skin, especially in my T-zone, so that was a major plus for me. I also always buy foundations that have an SPF in them. The mineral powder has an SPF of 20. I find myself choosing to wear this mineral foundation during the day when I am out and about running errands or at work because of its light weight feeling and how natural it looks on the skin.

My favorite product in the kit was the Pure Pressed Blush in Sheer Honey. I will definitely be repurchasing this blush when I’m done with the sample. The pigment is the perfect natural beige color for my skin during the summer. It gives me a nice warm blush color without being noticeable and unnatural. I would wear this in both the summer and fall seasons.

The Pure Pressed Eye Shadows have a nice pigment to them. I received the shadows in Supernova and Oyster. Supernova is a taupe-ish color and Oyster is a shimmery white. I prefer more pink and natural brown shades, so I wouldn’t repurchase the eye shadow colors. I did love how it was long-lasting and did not crease during the day. I am eager to try out a few different eye shades from her makeup line.

My second favorite product from the kit was the lip and cheek stain in Forever Peach. I did not use it as a cheek stain but more as lip color. The lip stain was very moisturizing and I loved how natural the color was on my skin. It gave my lips a natural peach tint and is a perfect color for the summer.

I appreciated how the makeup kit provides more of a beauty enhancement to my skin then a coverage, especially during the summer when I prefer to go makeup free. If you have tried products from the Jane Iredale line let us know your favorite products.

Have a great week!
